Bretonnian Archers – Citadel Miniatures

1 August, 2013

Ambience.

I consider these Citadel Miniatures of Bretonian Range a classic, and I always wanted to paint them. Is always very tedious paint the same miniature, so I created three different units of plastic archers (which have two different poses) with different livery and at the beginning of the unit I added a metal miniature as an officer.

Model.

  • 28mm Scale hard plastic.
  • Citadel Miniatures. Warhammer Fantasy (http://www.games-workshop.com/). Bretonnia range. Reference Bretonnians Archers 5th Ed.

Painting.

I have chosen simple colors for the livery, with colors that combine well in group. And to distinguish more each unit I painted the bows in three different tones of wood. In the gallery you can see the detail of the metal miniatures and all the units. These units are complemented with Bretonnian mounted knights miniatures with the same livery that you can see in another entry in the same section of Middle Ages / Renaissance in 28mm.

Basing.

Thin layer of painted Vandal, various kinds of small stones and some vegetation of:
